Monday I attended the Bloggerscafe by Fashionchick at the NRC cafe In Amsterdam. It was one of the 10 downtown events organized to celebrate the 20th edition Mercedes-Benz FashionWeek Amsterdam. The Bloggerscafe was a place where bloggers could meet. It was nice to see my blogger friends again and I met also great other fellow bloggers. But the best part of the evening was that there were given several lectures by three successful bloggers. Monique van Loon (Culy), Yvonne Eijkenduijn (Yvestown) and Anouk Bos (Creators of Disere and Anouk Yve). The lectures were very inspiring they gave use bloggers their vision about how to made your blog a success. The ladies gave us useful information about the do’s and don’t for a successful blog.
It was nice to hear them talking about blogging. I am more motivated than ever! Ofcourse I want to share this information with you. I hope you get also inspired and motivated from their stories. Are you ready? Read and Learn! 🙂

Blogger and founder of curly.nl. Maybe you know here already from Girlscene. She started at Girlscene when she was only 14 years old. At that age she already know what here passion was. Fashion! Unfortunately It was hard to find information about It. Now you see everything on the internet, but In that time It was hard to find some Information. So she started a blog. She created the Information by herself. For example she went to an H&M store and took everything what she taught It will be a trend to the fitting-rooms and make pictures of It. A lot of people said to her that It will not work, but look at her now. So she gave use a great advice ‘Do not let other people tell you what you can or cannot do. If you are confident about something, just go for It!’ Maybe It’s about 5, 10 or 12 year the next best thing! So take her advice and do something what you loved!
Monique told us that the key to successful blogging is passion. If you love something It’s easy to wright about It. readers will see that and love to come back. If you do It only because you think you get free stuff of money It will not work. A blog Is hard work and you have to be really dedicated and passion about It. Money Is just a bonus that will come naturally if you work hard on something you love.
other tips Monique gave use about starting a blog Is that the content and pictures have both to be good. Ask yourself the question Is It interesting enough to share with your friends? She think Pinterest will be the next hit. So don’t hesitate and start making an account :).
Yvonne a Lifestyle and Interior blogger of Yvestown. Yvonne sees her blog as an diary and photobook of her life that she shares on the internet. She told us that the beauty of blogging is that you are able to inspire people that you would otherwise never have met in real life. It’s hard because everyday have to be a good one to share. So how do you get other people interested in your life? According Yvonne you need your family and friend, a valuable network and sponsors. Yvonne thinks networking Is the key of successful blogging. Help other bloggers because together you are stronger. Start commenting on other blogs and be active on social media. I totally agree with Yvonne. I met some lovely fellow bloggers and they actually starting to getting my friends. We help each-other with our blogs and going together to events. I recommend like Yvonne to know you fellow bloggers and you enjoy more the blogging world
Anouk is the founder of Creators of Desire a successful platform for (fashion) bloggers. On Creators of Desire you find different bloggers with their own style and which Anouk think they have potention. Anouk ows also a fashion blog ‘Ánouk Yve’ which you can find on Creators of Desire. Anouk started the presentation which some bad news. There is a lott of competition In the bloggers world and everyone try to make It to the top. Luckily for us only one percent of those blogs are made It to the top. Don’t think you dont have any chance now but with passion, dedicated and a valauble network you can reach a lott. Actually where Monique and Yvonne talked about. Anouk gave us seven deadly sins of fashionblogs. 1. Vanity
Almost every blogger is a little bit vain but watch out to not become arrogant. Be yourself! 2. Greed Be carful with which brand you would cooperate. Ofcourse It is tempting to get free stuff but be true to yourself and accept only cooperations where you’re behind. Your blog should reflect your style instead of being just an online billboard. Dare to say no! 3. Lust
Wanted just to be big like influential bloggers? Resist the temptation to copy them. You see that a lot. Bloggers think the influential bloggers do It than It will be a success. Unfortunately that’s not the way how It works. Be authenticity. Again BEING YOU! 4. Jealousy We are all jealous of others succes sometimes. Try to see It as something positive Instead of negative. Think about what you should do to make your blog just as successful as the ones you envy. Just believe in yourself, don’t copy, work hard and (yes again) BEING YOU! 🙂 5. Gluttony Promote your blog but be careful what you don’t spam. Spamming is never useful and readers can find It annoying. Instead of visit your blog they will stay away. So choose your messages wisely and don’t spam It. 6. Rage Always stay professional and do not let your emotions get in the way of your blogging. Anouk gave use a example from two girls what was wearing the same outfit at fashionweek. One was very anry and told everyone that the other girl was a copycat. The girl who accuse about copycat heard about It and ask the girl what her problem was. It turned out that they had the same PR Agency and the angry girl gets everything backwards like negative publication. 7. Laziness Work hard! Requires 200% commitment. Where you was absent there will be other bloggers. One day not online can have a major influence.
It was such an inspiration evening. I really get more motivited to bring my blog to the next level. I hope you also do after reading this. Finally we all share a passion for blogging. I wanted to thank Monique, Yvonne, Anouk for the great advice and ofcourse Fashionchick for organized this amazing event.
