The ‘Illuminosa’ collection of Jef Montes was AMAZING! What a beautiful creations. Jef got immediately our attention when the first model pouring two candles of blue paint over her white dress. Everyone in the audience was like oohhhhhh, what is she doing, but a awesome start. What followed was a mix of white and blue shiny/satin creations with matching head pieces. The collection is very futuristic and feminine. All the garments look like there where wet like wax, but that’s because Montes used the communion candle as a source of inspiration. It’s also very impressive, because Montes always develops his own material. He adds a lot of details in the garments, such as experimental embroidery and hand painted fibre glass. Montes think that this collection is the start of his carrier is and I think he is right!
