it’s tuesday which means a new Blogger Spotlights. This time finally a male blogger, yeahhh! Let me introduce you to Brian from the blog Brian Sandifort. When people encourage Brian on Instagram to start a fashion blog he didn’t doubt for a second. He started with blogging in 2013 and write most of the time about fashion, but also topic of his interest like movies, series and music.

Definitely a blog to keep an eye on it. Enjoy the interview!

1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Hi! My name is Brian Sandifort and I’m 21 years old. I’m studying Communications in The Hague and I have a blog about menswear that goes with my own name – BrianSandifort.nl. Sometimes I like to write articles about other passions of mine too, like movies, series and music.

2. What was the reason why you started your blog?
I really wanted to do something, like starting an online project. I didn’t know the exact thing, but when I posted a picture on Instagram and people started to encourage me to start ‘fashion blogging’ I knew I found the theme for my project. Since then fashion has been growing on me more and more and I’m learning how to blog better every time.

3. How would you describe your clothing style?
The more fashionable version of the average Dutch guy, but not a fashionisto. I like to wear outfits that are smart-casual and one thing I absolutely love is mix-and-match with colors and patterns. My favorite looks contain a striking piece of clothing, combined with something that tones it down. Think of a shirt with a heavy print that I wear with a simple jeans or a solid color blazer.

4. How do you keep coming up with material/content for your blog? Many people struggle with coming up with different articles/posts
The intention of my blog is to inspire and I personally get inspired by lookbooks of fashion brands. Because these lookbooks inspire me, I think they can also inspire my followers. That’s why I like to share them on my blog once in a while. Since my blog name is my own, I can also decide to write articles that are not about fashion. As I said, sometimes I write articles about entertainment stuff as series.

5. What are you favorite brands and shops?
I’m the kind of guy that likes to go into the city and discover the best of all kinds of shops. I mostly shop at Zara, H&M and Mango Man, though.

6. What’s now on your wish list?
A lot, actually! Every month I have this section on my blog that is literally called ‘Wishlist’ where I put items I’d love to add to my wardrobe. Last week though I was in Zara and I loved this grey coat, so that one ranks number one at the moment…

7. If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest? Tips!
Just do it! I just started blogging without any experience with it what so ever. Now I look back on the old posts and I see how I’ve grown with writing and photography. An important thing, however, is to like doing it. When you don’t like doing it, you can’t keep up with it. So, just do it with love and passion!
