Morning babes! It’s time for a new blogger spotlight and we have a scoop. Let me introduce you to Yen from Diva in Me. My first international blogger in the blogger spotlights. Yen lives in Malaysia and is really a fashion and beauty guru. She started her blog because a friend gave her the idea and now she can’t without her personal fashion/beauty diary. Yen have a very feminime, elegant and casual style. Yen and me have been following each other for a while now and I always love reading her blog. When she asked me of she could in my blogger spotlight I immitently said yes. Let’s read the interview!

1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Hello everyone! My name is Yen from Diva In Me and I am writing all the way from Malaysia. It is a small country and it is hot and humid all year round. You might say I’m so lucky to get to enjoy Summer all through the year, but trust me, I’m totally envious of those Winter layering which some of you get to do and I don’t unless I travel to colder places.
2. What was the reason why you started your blog?
Actually, it was a friend’s suggestion to start a blog. One day, I was having coffee with a good friend of mine that I’ve not kept in touch for the longest time. He knew I love fashion and beauty-knick-knacks a lot, so he suggested why not just keep a log about what I wear and beauty products that I’m using? That’s how Diva In Me started.
3. How would you describe your clothing style
I would say at times I like to dress up elegantly and at times I like to stay casual.
4. How do you keep coming up with material/content for your blog? Many people struggle with coming up with different articles/posts
I love to browse through magazines and Pinterest. I get my fashion inspirations from there and at times from reading blogs. There are so many things in a day to talk about. From fashion, to beauty and travels. I think I’m quite an impromptu person and very much in touch with my feelings. If I feel like sharing a lot more on my blog, I will elaborate, but at times when I don’t, pictures do speak a thousand words.
5. What are you favorite brands and shops?
Recently I’m quite into Shopbop. They have real quick deliveries, even when I’m not anywhere near USA. Shopbop has a good selection of brands too. Another brand that I totally adore recently is Giuseppe Zanotti. I just bought a pair of sneakers from them and can’t get my eyes off it. Zara and Banana Republic are two of my everyday staples. They’re affordable and comfortable.
6. What’s now on your wish list?
A bracelet from Cartier. Juste Un Clou
7. If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest? Tips!
Ask yourself “why would you like to start a blog?” Technically, it’s an e-diary. You share it openly with anyone and everyone. If you would like to use it for business reason, then do not write anything personal, but treat it like a job. If you would like to be a well-known and successful blogger, it requires a lot of discipline, hard work and patience.
