Good morning sweeties! Last week I already introduce you to Jamie from The Girls Behind the Camera’s but so do it not alone. Let’s meet Silvy the other face behind the blog. It’s started with Lookbook.nu, but Silvy loved photograph so she wanted created a place to show her passion with the world. She created her own blog and post once in a while, but it was nothing serious. When she met Jamie at school the girls decided to work together. That’s how The Girls behind the Camera started.

1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
My name is Silvy de Jong, I’m 24 years old and I’m living in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. Last summer I graduated as a webdesigner but I have always had a big passion for fashion and that’s why I’m currently working at the women’s fashion department at de Bijenkorf. In my spare time I love to wander around and discover new places, meet up with friends and I love cooking.

2. What was the reason why you started your blog?
I think it was like 4 years ago when I started my first blog. I was already on lookbook.nu but I wanted a platform to post some more photographs so that’s why I created my own blog. I posted every once in a while, it was not that serious. When I met Jamie in school a few years later, we got along really well and we really liked eachothers work. After a while we decided to start blogging together, and that’s where the idea of The Girls Behind The Camera was born.

3. How would you describe your clothing style?
I think most of the time my looks can be described as casual edgy. My style is slightly changing though. Oh and I’ve been obsessed with everything maxi lately.. Maxi dresses, skirts, cardigans, I can’t stop wearing them!

4. How do you keep coming up with material/content for your blog? Many people struggle with coming up with different articles/posts
I often walk around the city all by myself just for a few hours and I get inspired by everything around me. I think it’s very important to stay true to yourself and write about what you’re really passionate about. If you’re not passionate about your writing, then why should your readers care?

5. What are you favorite brands and shops?
I really love Filippa K, American Apparel, Topshop, Urban Outfitters and I often visit some thrift shops.

6. What’s now on your wishlist
I just moved to a new place so I have lots of things on my wishlist, my place is still very empty! I would love to have a Persian carpet and a huge working table.

7. If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest? Tips!
Just be yourself, blog about what you’re really passionate about and don’t worry about what others might think about you.
