Morning babes! Tuesday means a new blogger spotlight and today I want introduce you to Floor from the blog Jade Pillar. A blog about fashion, art and hotspots. Floor loves to write about those topics which you can totally see in her writing. She shows you great places in Amsterdam and introduce you to some nice art and design with Of course here and there an outfit post. The first blog where those topics comes together.

1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
I am Floor, the girl behind JadePillar.com. I am a political scientist, with a big passion for fashion, art and inspiring places. That is why I write about those topics on my blog JadePillar.com. I am 28 years old and live in Amsterdam.
2. What was the reason you started your blog?
When I started blogging, I did not really know I that what I was doing was called blogging. I just wrote about art, because I enjoyed doing. I accidentally discovered the world of fashion blogging through Andy Torres’ blog Style Scrapbook. It was like I was introduced to a whole new world. I realized that blogging was actually ‘a thing’ and decided to expand my blog with fashion and hotspots. Later on – I blog for 2,5 years now – I shifted my focus to Amsterdam based fashion, art and hotspots. Because really, I’m in love with everything about Amsterdam and get so much energy from sharing my finds with all of you!
3. How would you describe your clothing style?
My style is a mix of minimalistic elements and eye catchers. Although I love a true minimalistic look, most of the time I have to add some color, print or contrasting fabric to make it more me. I would say that my overall look is clean, but with a touch of fun. Think weird shoes, striking sunglasses and flashy bags. 
4. How do you keep coming up with material/content for your blog? Many people struggle with coming up with different articles/posts
I am lucky my blog has a broad scope. Therefore I always find something to write about. I learned that the best way to write an article is to stay close to who you are and what you experience in daily life. Also, get out of the house and do something! Blogging really is not only about you, your laptop and the comfort of your home. I get most inspired by visiting art exhibitions, talking to designers and meeting people who share the same interests.
5. What are you favorite brands and shops?
Ooh…that is quite a list. I will try to narrow it down to the basics! As I am a blogger who focuses on what happens in Amsterdam, I clearly love my Amsterdam based labels: First of August designs quality basics and inspiring silhouettes. Nobody Has To Know has a great concept and sells androgynous designs. They actually opened their first store on the Ceintuurbaan recently. Definitely worth paying a visit! Furthermore, I always visit Monki when I am on a shopping spree. I find the brand’s style both easy going and creative. The friendly price tag helps me shop there a lot too of course.
6. What’s now on your wish list?
I am so glad that the 70s are back in style this season. I dusted some of my flared jeans off and wear them non-stop. To accompany them, I would die for a new leather jacket. A more fitted one than I own now. As a bag addict, adding a striking clutch to my collection would not hurt either. And oh…a pair of new Nike’s please.
7. If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest? Tips!
I would say: just do it! So many great things came out of it in my case. I met a lot of inspiring people and found the confidence to really share and write about what I love in life. I would also say that you have to realize the amount of time that blogging takes. It is not something you do on the side. I guess most of us are working fulltime on blogging, besides our fulltime day job. But if that does not scare you, just go for it! Set some goals, get out there to meet new people and have fun!
