1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
‘Of course, my name is Anouk and I’m a 23-year-old girl from Veenendaal. It’s a small town near Utrecht, which is the perfection location to go anywhere in the Netherlands. Right now I’m extremely busy with exams and deadlines for my second year of the study Communication. It’s so much fun, but it takes a lot of energy and time. Luckily I love to write for school assignments, but also for my blog www.keysofanouk.com. On my blog I write stories about my life, fashion and mostly lifestyle items.

Besides writing and photography, I have a huge love for my French Bulldog Nina. She’s such an energetic and crazy dog, so we’re walking a lot in the wooded area.’

2. What was the reason why you started your blog?
‘I loved to watch bloggers like Kenza Zouiten and Lisa Olsson, but I never thought I would be interesting enough to blog. During a boring internship my friend Zoë asked me: ‘shall we do something exciting? Why don’t we start a blog?’ That was the beginning of something fun – even though Zoë and I seperated after two fun years of blogging. I love the fact that Keys of Anouk is my own place where I can talk about everything I love, somehow that works addictive. You want to keep growing, create more content with quality and so on..’

3. How would you describe your clothing style?
‘My outfit depends on my mood but I think it’s sporty, simple but always with an extra touch. This ‘extra touch’ could be something like a pair of colorful sneakers or a printed jacket.’

Another important thing: make a proper planning so you can work well ahead. This saves time and energy – which you can use for new and fun ideas.

5. What are you favorite brands and shops?
‘I can always find something cool at Zara, H&M and Urban Outfitters. If I were a rich student I would spend my money on Acne Studios, Céline and Alexander Wang.’

6. What’s now on your wishlist?
‘I have a long wishlist on my phone which changes every week. I always keep adding stuff, haha. For now I have the following items on my list: basics like a black and white tee of good quality, the perfect white sneakers and tough earrings from Asos. I try to buy more quality instead of quantity.’

If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest? Tips!

The most important tip: have fun! It’s just a hobby and you’re supposed to enjoy that. Before you’re about to start a blog think about two simple questions. What do you want to achieve and what is your USP (unique selling point)? Are you a fantastic photographer or a graphic designer? Make use of it and show it!
