Good morning! Today I want to introduce you to Sarah from the blog ModaVitae. Actually she started her blog together with her sister Sophie. Next week you will see the interview with Sophie, but first the lovely Sarah. The 20 years old fashionista have a big passion for photography, fashion and writing. A blog was an easy choose to combined all the things. She and Sophie just started with the blog but on Instagram they have already 15k. That’s really not a surprise because every picture are gorgeous and the girls have a great fashion sense. Almost every outfit I would like to wear, but that’s maybe because I have the same style like them, haha.

I met the girls for the first time at Vogue Fashion Night out and a couple weeks ago Sarah ask me of I wanna help with her school project. She interviewed me about my blog. It was in front of the camera so It was a little bit scary, haha. And last Saturday I did some shopping with the sister because Sophie won my Citymall Almere giveaway. They post an article about it (here) from the items they bought.

1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
My name is Sarah, 20 years old and fashion is my first love. My second love (sorry babe) is my boyfriend named Frits, the most typical Dutch name ever! Oh, and he shares the second place with my sister/colleague Sophie of course! I’m living in Almere in The Netherlands, a city close to Amsterdam. It’s one of the best places to go shopping, the big reason why I still live here. I would like to move to Amsterdam when I’m older!

2. What was the reason why you started your blog?
The biggest reason is that I love photography, I wanted to share my outfits with the rest of the world and I really love to write. A fashion blog seemed to be the perfect combination! So I started my blog and never I stopped, it’s too much fun!

3. How would you describe your clothing style?
I would say my style changes a lot, but I think it’s a mix of chic, casual and sporty. There are so many styles I love so it depends on the day how I dress. Black, white, beige and red are colors I wear a lot. Those are definitely my favorite ones!

4. How do you keep coming up with material/content for your blog? Many people struggle with coming up with different articles/posts?
It’s hard to come up with something new every time, so we have standard topics on our blog where we write about (outfit photos, mobile pictures, moodboards). If we want to write a new article, we search the internet and magazines for some inspiration. It always works!

5. What are you favorite brands and shops?
I always fall in love over and over again with the collections from Zara. They have the most amazing pieces, but sometimes their clothes are too expensive for me. So I shop at H&M and Primark a lot, and I love buying vintage clothes at Episode in Amsterdam or Hard Bitten and the Others in Almere. When it comes to beauty I love L’Oreal Paris. Almost all of my make-up is from this brand.

6. What’s now on your wish list?
I’m still searching for the perfect knitted turtleneck sweater in a color that fits me. And I really want a perfect dress for Christmas and New Years Eve.

7. If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest? Tips!
It’s hard for me to give you good tips, because I just started. But always keep in mind to show your readers who you really are. Don’t try to be someone else. Furthermore I would recommend you to be brutal towards companies when it comes to collaborations. Brutal people own the world!
