Good morning sweeties! How are we feeling today! It’s Tuesday and you know what that means! A new Blogger Spotlight! This time I introduce you to Laura from the blog The New Girl in Town. I followed Laura blog for a long time and at a C&A event I met her in real life. Such a sweet girl! She blog about her outfits, events and personal articles. Curious about laura? Well let’s she the interview!

1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
I’m Laura Boogers, a 22 year old student and live-/fashionblogger from Veenendaal, a small city between Utrecht and Arnhem. At the moment I’m still studying Media, Information & Communication at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam, but I hope to graduate in November this year.

2.What was the reason why you started your blog?
I immediately started blogging when I found out about the blog ‘The Blonde Salad’. What she did and the blog/platform that she created was something I was looking for, for a long time. I wanted to have and create a place where I could post my inspirations and things that I loved, so I always had them in one place. At the same time I started my study so it also was a great way to gain experience. At the beginning it was only for myself, but after I started blogging I noticed that others were interested in my blog too.

3. How would you describe your clothing style
I would describe my style as casual but chic and feminine but with a tough/sporty edge. I love to mix these two. You will not see me wearing a girly dress with high heels soon. I prefer a dress or skirt with sneakers or otherwise with heels with a though edge. I also love to combine leather trousers and a boyfriend jeans with a feminine shirt or blouse.

4. How do you keep coming up with material/content for your blog? Many people struggle with coming up with different articles/posts
I get inspired by other fashion blogs, but also other websites, social media and magazines. Sometimes an idea just pop up in my head when I’m walking the streets looking around. So it has to do with a lot of things. I always have a notebook with me where I write all my ideas in. When I’m not writing an idea down immediately, I will forget it. So when I need material/content for my blog I only have to check my notebook.

5. What are you favorite brands and shops?
I love Chanel, Isabel Marant and Balmain, but I’m still a student so these are unfortunately not the stores you find me shopping. I really love Spanish stores like Zara, Mango, Stradivarius and Pull & Bear.

6. What’s now on your wishlist?
On my wishlist are a lot of designer bags, but I think I have to wait for that. At the moment I’m thinking about buying the bobby sneakers from Isabel Marant as a present for myself when I’m graduated.

7. If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest? Tips!
First thing: just do it!! Do not doubt yourself, you can do it if you really want too. You will learn a lot by doing it. When you want to do it I will suggest you find a great Niche. This is what I have been doing the last couples of weeks/months for totally new website I want to launch when I’m done with my study. It’s very hard, but you really have to have a Niche these days to stand out. There are so many blogs. And a good blogname is also very important…
