Morning sweeties! Time for a new blogger spotlight. Meet Marky from the blog My Pink Boudoir. A fashion lover and blogger born in Czech Republic, but based in The Netherlands. Marky approached me of it was possible to be on my blogger spotlights. Of course! I just encouraging this kind of approach. I started this post to help my fellow bloggers with some exposure. 1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Hi! I’m Marky, a fashion lover and blogger born in Czech Republic, based in The Netherlands where I study psychology yet more often found in the USA because of my boyfriend. My biggest passion is my blog and traveling the world. I’m a girly girl, open minded, introvert, dreamer and movie lover.
2. What was the reason why you started your blog?
I started to blog for two reasons. I wanted to create a place that people would like to visit for inspiration and where I could share my love for fashion. I also felt an urge to express myself and to actually “make” something.
3. How would you describe your clothing style?
Thanks to my heritage and places where I’ve lived, I see both East and West influences in my clothing style. It’s a kind of “feminine elegance meets trendy chic”. I love to mix these two together.
4. How do you keep coming up with material/content for your blog? Many people struggle with coming up with different articles/posts
My posts are mostly the outfits I’m wearing, so I don’t struggle much about new articles. Though asking myself how I could inspire my readers helps me a lot creating the content. I try to show outfits with new ideas and a story behind them and I ask myself what post would be valuable or helpful to my readers. That way articles such as “ How to wear a certain piece of clothes” or “What to pair a specific garment with” are born.
5. What are you favorite brands and shops?
Recently I discovered Bebe which I fell in love with. I love Ted Baker, Guess by Marciano and Michael Kors but I also like to shop at SPS Superstar and H&M.
6. What’s now on your wish list?
I would love to have grey suede boots, red pumps and a nice sharp blazer.
On my long term list are various designer handbags, a Louis Vuitton waist belt and a Chanel pin :).
7. If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest? Tips!
I would suggest to blog about something you are passionate about and to blog for the right reason – because you enjoy it.
Be patient, it takes time before the right readers find you. If you want your blog to be loved, do your best and create quality.
