Morningg! It’s Tuesday and that means a new blogger spotlight! This time it is the turn to the gorgeous Terry from the blog TerryCouture. A 20 year old fashion lover which blog about Fashion- and interior styling. I met Terry at the event from Yara in Outlet Roermond. Such a sweet girl with a gorgeous style! She already graduate as an All-round Stylist at Akademie Vogue in Amsterdam. Now she is studying ‘Media, Information and Communucation’, because she dreams to be an all-round stylist/media specialist. I envy her, because that is actually what I wish to become, but unfortunately I study a whole different direction. In my time you didm’t had the Vogue Akademie. But it’s nice to she other girls follow there dreams! Of course a asked Terry the same questions, let’s take a look at the answers she gives.
Did you already know Terry?
1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Hi all! I’m Terry Ringers, a 20-year-old fashion- and interior stylist from Amsterdam.
2. What was the reason why you started your blog?
I’m currently studying ‘Media, Information and Communication studies’ in Amsterdam. This study is not really about fashion but I do want to work in fashion when I graduate. So I decided to start blogging about it.
3. How would you describe your clothing style?
My style is all about making the best of yourself every day. I don’t fit in a certain style or way. I watch the shows, visit events and I decide for myself which trends I like. One season I’m all about rock n’ roll with leather trousers and jackets, and the next season I’m a girly girl with skirts. My style really depends on my mood. What I do know is what I would never wear: vintage. That just really isn’t my thing.
4. How do you keep coming up with material/content for your blog? Many people struggle with coming up with different articles/posts
I’m a huge Pinterest addict and by looking at inspiring pictures or quotes, I get ideas for blog posts and even outfits.
5. What are your favorite brands and shops?
I really like to shop ‘where no-one shops’. I love to shop online and I also like to visit some boutiques in the Netherlands and Belgium where I find unique items. I also love Zara and I like to visit (designer) sample sales.
6. What’s now on your wish list?
My wishlist is truly never-ending. The first things I ever added was a Chanel 2.55 bag and a pair of Louboutin heels. I still don’t own the Chanel bag.. The latest three items I added are:
– A sweater or dress from the Alexander Wang x H&M collection
– A Philip Lim 3.1 bag
– A pair of really nice leather over-knee black boots
7. If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest? Tips!
– Don’t start blogging if you think you can’t commit to it. You really have to keep your blog and social media accounts up-to-date a lot. Do start if you want to share your inspiration with the world.
– Keep faith. Don’t stop immediately when the response of your audience isn’t that good as you expected. Just work harder and write more inspiring articles. Remember: winners are the ones that don’t give up!
– Be true to your style. Don’t wear clothes or promote brands that don’t really fit you. It will show if it isn’t really ‘your thing’.
