Morning babes! Making this post on my way to Schiphol. When you read this I think I’m already arrived at L.A. it’s Tueasday so that means a new blogger spotlight. Today I want to introduce you to Igrien from the blog The Avantguardian. Igrien stared with her blog because she loved photography and writing so a blog is just the perfect combination. She just hope she could inspire women with her blog. I think she really do. I always love to read her blog and her pictures are gorgeous.
Read the interview to get to know Igrien and don’t forget to go to her blog. Enjoy!

1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Sure! My name is Igrien. I am a tax lawyer by day and supervillain by night. At least, that’s what my profile says!
2. What was the reason why you started your blog?
I love photography and I get a kick out of writing. Blogging seemed to be the perfect combination. I know there are many blogs out there already, but with my blog I hope to inspire girls and women to seek out life again. Especially for ambitious women who spend most of their time building their corporate careers, it is easy to forget the little things in life. If, through my colourful photography and dreamy writing, I am able to ignite some sort of spark again, I will regard it as a task accomplished.
3. How would you describe your clothing style?
It depends. When I started working I stuck to a lot of minimal blacks, greys and neutrals. And heels only! It was definitely more corporate feminine. Nowadays, I feel like wearing more colours (I try) and tend to wear flats more often. Overall, I’d say feminine with an edge and always comfortable.

4. How do you keep coming up with material/content for your blog? Many people struggle with coming up with different articles/posts
It’s hard. I work over fifty hours a week so it’s difficult to find the time sometimes to write, shoot and come up with new content. But I believe there are still so many things people haven’t covered yet. There are always new things you can write about or shoot. I’d say, think outside the box. Don’t do what other bloggers are already doing. It’s easy to copy, but sometimes you’ll find it’s even easier to listen to your own voice and write about what your heart tells you to write about.
5. What are you favorite brands and shops?
I’m a dressy person and love dramatic dresses. For those, I’d say Givenchy, Celine or Zac Posen. For day-to-day wear, I love shopping at Zara. They offer so much versatility and you can find almost anything in the store these days.
6. What’s now on your wish list?
A Chanel Le Boy bag. I always said that once I start working, I will splurge on the bag with my first salary. I’ve been working for five years now, the salary is still sitting in the bank and I can’t justify the price for myself just yet. The bag isn’t going anywhere so it remains on the list in the mean time!
7. If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest? Tips!
First, don’t do it because you want to enjoy a blogger’s life (whatever that may be). Do it because you have something to tell. Blogging is a commitment and you have to put in a lot of time and effort into it, which a lot of people underestimate. Second, if you want to become a fashion blogger, find a good photographer who can showcase your styling. It makes a world of difference. Third, as with all things in life, just do it.

Thanks Igrien for the great answers! I always love your pictures on the blog. You are great on pictures but also a good photographer yourself. Do you like Igrien’s style and blog just like I do? Follow her! See links for social media canals underneath!
