This week I interviewed Laura from the blog Mixtfashion. Laura started her blog in 2013 to share her passion for fashion & photography, besides her study health sciences. She graduated in 2016 for her Master health care management, but decided to focus on her passion and followed her dream. With result, because blogging is now her fulltime job. Well let’s to know her a bit better…..

1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
My name is Laura van Till, 24 years old and living in Rotterdam. This year Im graduated for my master Health Care Management and now I can proudly say Im working fulltime for my blog MIXT. A blog where I share my passion and interest for fashion, art, travelling and lifestyle.

2. What was the reason why you started your blog?
My Bachelor Health Sciences had nothing to do with my passion for fashion, style and photography. So I was looking for a way to share my inspiration next to my study; a blog was the perfect solution!

3. How would you describe your clothing style?
It’s quit various. It goes from grunge to Parisian chic. Lately i’m also wearing more sporty outfits.

4. How do you keep coming up with material/content for your blog? Many people struggle with coming up with different articles/posts
Well, there is so much inspiration everywhere. Most I get from people, cities, parties, stores and of course Pinterest haha.

5.What are you favorite brands and shops?
Favorite brand which is payable? Haha well I shop a lot at Asos, Mango and Vanilia.

6. What’s now on your wishlist?
On top of my wishlist is a Yves Saint Laurent bag. A small black one with gold details.

7. What is your favorite trend at this moment?
Velvet for sure!

8. Who are your favorite bloggers?
Lately Im not following any bloggers. Of course im following a lot of cool people on Instagram but no blogs. Too busy unfortunately! But some bloggers/instagrams I love; @Natalieoffduty @saskaludilo @adenorah

9. If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest? Tips!
Put some effort in your Instagram babe! Its more worth then a blog nowadays. And be creative, follow your own style and don’t focus too much on other bloggers. Try to find your inspiration somewhere else. Don’t become the next copy-cat 😉

Good morning! I’m back! I lost my motivation to blog last year. Not because I didn’t like it anymore, but at my work I was always busy with other bloggers/influencers. When I got home I didn’t had the motivation or inspiration to blog for myself. But I really missed it! Now I’m not working at Influentials anymore I have the time and motivation to start again. One of my favorite topic’s was the blogger spotlight. In this topic I want to introduce you to one of my fellow bloggers/vloggers/Instagrammer. The blog world is change a lot. There are more channels to inspire people. That’s why I named this topic Spotlight instead of blogger spotlight.

My first spotlight is with Chéréneffe Fleur from the blog ‘Chéréneffe Fleur‘. I know her because she was an intern at Influentials. Always fun with this chick! And thanks to her I know the vloggers world a little bit better. Beside that you can see Chéréneffe everyday on television. Get The Fuck Out Of My House, haha. Crazy program, but fun. On her blog she shares all her creativity about everything she loves. Besides inspiring others, she created this online world for herself, because she wanted her own virtual diary. Well let’s get to know Chéréneffe a bit better……

1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
My name is Chéréneffe Fleur. I love to do a lot of different things and can never keep my mind on just one project. One day I write about fashion, the other day about beauty and I also share my personal life through vlogs.

2. What was the reason why you started your blog?
The reason why I started my blog was because I was done with the ideal image I had to meet. I’ve done some modeling work and have been in the finals of 3 pageants and allthough a pageant is more than the standard beauty ideal. It was still really important and by starting my blog I was finally able to be myself (the real me).

3. How would you describe your clothing style?
I’m always searching for my own style. I love to wear comfortable clothes that look effortles. I also love to dress up, but I my style is more streetwear with a touch of sexy.

4. How do you keep coming up with material/content for your blog? Many people struggle with coming up with different articles/posts
The key is not to force yourself to make content. One day you have more inspiration, so I try to write as much articles on days like those. So I’ve content for a longer period of time. But what I also do is listen to what my readers/watchers want to see.

7. What is your favorite trend at this moment?
Silver shoes.

8. Who are your favorite bloggers?
Lately I’ve been reading Kenza her blog, because she also writes about her personal life. And I find that a lot bloggers lately don’t put as much of effort in their work as they used to. Now a days it’s more pictures than text. I watch more vloggers than bloggers now a days.

9. If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest? Tips!
Just start! Don’t ask people for comfirmation. Blogging or making content in another way takes time, effort en creativity. My only tip I can give you is to just start and do what you love to do and do your research!

Good morning! It’s time for a new blogger spotlight. This time I interviewed Rowan from the blog ‘Retromantic‘. Rowan started her blog in 2013 which was called ‘on Rebellious yet Romantic’. In February 2015 she change the name in ‘Retromantisch’. Why? Because Rowan is a romantic girl with a big love for retro/vintage fashion.  She loves to write about fashion. Meaning Rowan show her own outfits and looks that inspire her. Well let’s get to know Rowan a bit better……

1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
My name is Rowan. I’m a romantic girl with a big love for retro/vintage fashion (and interior!). I mix tule skirts, floral prints, dreamy dresses, vintage finds and hats into something I like to describe as ‘retromantic’.

2. What was the reason why you started your blog?
My blog started as a spot to collect my creative outbursts. Some kind of online notebook, for drawings, fashion inspiration, random photography, etcetera. It developed more and more to a fashion blog, although I still like to share some of my drawings now and then.

3. How would you describe your clothing style?
Retro and romantic. That’s the reason why I called my blog ‘Retromantic’. I mostly wear warm/autumnal colours and I love items which seem to come from the past. It doesn’t really matter to me whether these items are real vintage pieces, or that they just have a retro appearance. Oh, and I love floral prints!

4. How do you keep coming up with material/content for your blog? Many people struggle with coming up with different articles/posts
Next to outfits, shoplogs and other categories in which I post my own content, I also like sharing fashion inspiration. For example, I make wishlists of my favourite items of the moment, inspiration posts with outfits of other bloggers (for example: how to style a pinafore dress?) or I share my favourite looks from a fashion show I really loved. Inspiration is around you all the time! By looking around for things or people that inspire you (and maybe write a blog post about them), you get new ideas for your own content too. 🙂

5. What are you favorite brands and shops?
I recently discovered the vintage inspired watches by Olivia Burton, beautiful! Also I really love retro fashion brands, like Miss Patina or Mod Dolly.

6. What’s now on your wish list?
I’m really digging this Mod Dolly mustard corduroy smock dress!

7. Who are your favorite bloggers?
I think the looks by Steffy Kuncman (Steffys Pros and Cons) and Amy Roiland (A Fashion Nerd) are wonderful. Both girls have an amazing retro style. Please let their wardrobes get magically teleported to my room!

8. If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest? Tips!
Be yourself. Invest time in photography, nice visuals really lift up the look and feel of your blog and visualize your style. Don’t focus too much on followers, invites and free goodies, but start with creating amazing content and getting some loyal followers who truly support you. I think that’s way more rewarding!

This week I interviewed Cindy a 23 year girl living nearby Antwerp in Belgium. Cindy started her blog “The After Work‘ to share her interests in interior and fashion. It’s actually a platform where people can connect to their own interest with hers. Beside her blog, Cindy works by Zara as an Area Merchandiser. Yep fashion is her passion! Well let’s to know her a bit better…..

1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
I’m Cindy, a 23year old blogger from Antwerp, Belgium. During the week I work as Visual Commercial at Zara and during the weekends I blog on my lifestyle and fashion platform: THE AFTER WORK BLOG.

2. What was the reason why you started your blog?
I started almost 7years ago to share my inspirations with friends from school. And suddenly it became bigger and a blog which has been visited by people all over the world.

3. How would you describe your clothing style?
Very minimalistic with an eyecatcher. A special bag or shoes. It’s mostly a black outfit with a colorful detail.

4. How do you keep coming up with material/content for your blog? Many people struggle with coming up with different articles/posts
I only post when I feel too. I will never push myself to write content that don’t fit my style or personality. My inspiration comes from my daily life.

5. What are you favorite brands and shops?
As I work at Zara I spend a lot of time there and I follow their collections. Next to Zara I love Mango, Asos and H&M. But talking about designers; Céline, Vuitton and Givenchy are my top 3.

6. What’s now on your wish list?
A wallet from Céline or the Vuitton Neverfull bag.

7. Who are your favorite bloggers?
I follow so many people that inspire me every single day. So it’s quite difficult to choose a few. On my Instagram you can see me sharing a lot of content from them too. Cause you know: sharing is caring!

8. If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest? Tips!
Start with a blog which represents you. Not just another fashion blog or beauty blog. Start one that defines who you are with your own touch of creativity to stand out. Also write about what you would like to share.

Good morning! Today in the blogger spotlight the sweet Tessa from the blog ‘Lucy Tess‘. Tessa is 17 year old and started her blog two years ago. She started her blog to inspire others, like other bloggers inspired her. On the blog you can find her personal style, lifestyle stories and travels. Actually everything what she loves. Beside her blog Tessa have another big passion and that is dancing. Well let’s get to know her a little bit better….

1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
I’m Tessa, I’m 17 years old, and I blog on www.Lucytess.com. I love to blog, and besides that I’m also a dancer and a traveladdict.

2. What was the reason why you started your blog?
Reading blogs has always been one of my favorite things to do. I could look at all the beautiful pictures, and inspiring texts for hours, haha. Bloggers really inspired me, and I actually wanted my own place to share the things I love, and help people with tips or new ideas. So that’s why I started blogging! To inspire others like I’ve been inspired myself.

3. How would you describe your clothing style?
My clothing style is very simple but chic. I don’t really like colors (lol), so you’ll find me wearing black, white, grey or navy most of the time. Sometimes I add a little bit sexier item to my outfit, but at other times I really like a boyish detail. I just love to make my outfits look simple, chic, and effortless.

4. How do you keep coming up with material/content for your blog? Many people struggle with coming up with different articles/posts
I don’t really know. I’m just a creative person I think, and I always take my notebook with me everywhere I go. I come up with new ideas at the most random times, sometimes I scroll through Instagram and think of something, sometimes I’m just taking a walk with my dog when I come up with something new, but especially Pinterest and your imagination are good sources for new ideas I think.

5. What are you favorite brands and shops?
Oh this one is easy! I love to shop at ASOS, and ZARA. They have so many cool items, and it’s really affordable.

6. What’s now on your wish list?
Gosh, too much actually! I really want black leather pants, a Daniel Wellington watch, THE perfect jumper, and a lot more 😀

7. Who are your favorite bloggers?
My number one favorite blogger is definitely Josie from MaryJosie.com! I just love her style, the way she writes and the videos she makes. Other blogs I visit on a daily basis are The Fashion Cuisine and Style Remains!

8. If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest? Tips!
First of all: you should only start a blog if you really like blogging (writing, photographing, that sort of stuff). I have a feeling that a lot of people start a Blog or YouTube, just to get ‘famous’ or to make money. But I think you should only do it if it’s your passion. Also, you got to have a lot of patience. (Oh and make sure your grammar is okay! People find that really important).
