Morning babes! ASOS reached out to me for their ‘Be Yourself’ campaign. The meaning of the campaign is to give ASOS and you an insight into my career. I will answer a few questions about my work and I will show you how I dress to my work. Well this could be fun, so Let’s start!
1. What is your industry and your job role?
I work at ilovefashionbloggers for two days in the week. The name already mention it, but the industry is fashion and bloggers. A couple months ago we introduced Influentials. This is the ultimate marketplace for the business of fashion bloggers. Influentials is designed to empower collaborations between bloggers and brands. My role is to match the right bloggers with the brand. I know a lot of bloggers which is really helpful to find a perfect match with a brand. Besides that I’m the first contact person for all the bloggers. So actually I’m an Influener advisor.
2. What part of your job gets you excited to get out of bed in the morning?
Well, fashion & blogging is my passion. it started as a hobby, but now I can actually do what I love in my work. Not everyone can say that.
3. What is the general dress code in your industry like?
Well it’s fashion so I can wear everything what I want, woohhhhhh. Their is no dress code over here. I can literary be myself. But when I have (important) meetings of course I will dress casual, business wise.
4. What is your favourite work footwear and why?
Actually not! I have so many shoes! It actually depends on what I’m gonna wear, but it have to be comfortable. I’m not gonna wear my highest heels.
5. Do you have a cheat hair style to save you time in the mornings?
I always have a shower in the evening, so I don’t have to do that in the morning. Then I style or curl my hair in 5 minutes and I’m done, haha.
6. Do you have any advice for people who want to work in your industry?
Follow your heart and dreams. I quite my job to actually do what I love. Okay it’s not yet a full-time job, but I’m working on it. It takes time, but believe in yourself. Beside that of course you have to be passionate with this industry otherwise it wouldn’t work. Oh and connections is very important in this business.
7. What made you chose this particular ASOS outfit combination?
I choose for this look, because I’m really into the seventies lately. When I saw this dress I couldn’t resist it. The vest I can combine on many ways. Now it was perfect with this dress, but I love to wear it with a black pants and top for a casual/business look. Because I don’t have a dresscode I could order what I wanted, score!
I hope you liked this short interview about my work. Now I’m curious about your work? What are you doing and do you have a dress code? Click HERE to see the work section what ASOS selected.
