Morning! Tuesdays means a new blogger spotlight! This week I interviewed Sabine from the blog ‘So Far So Sabine‘. Because of Kevin from www.JustKVN.com Sabine got inspired to start her own blog. She already had a guest blog by Kevin for six months, but this year she decided to start her own blog. So a newbie in bloggers world. Welcome Sabine! She loves everything about clothes, make-up, style, and accessories, so her blog would be a mix of those theme’s. I’m already a big fan and I think you would to. Let’s start to get to know Sabine………

1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
My name is Sabine, I am Dutch but blogging in Stockholm, Sweden. I am running www.sofarsosabine.com since the beginning of this year and I just love blogging. I have studied ‘bachelor of education’ in Utrecht and worked shortly as a teacher. I have changed my career into a Make-up Artist and I’ve worked for MAC cosmetics in Dubai and Chanel in Douglas in Utrecht. I love animals and I have two poodles as well. I’ve had a daughter who was my greatest blessing for four months.
2. What was the reason why you started your blog?
At the beginning of 2015, I came with Kevin from justKVN.com to the FashionWeek Amsterdam. There I fell in love with fashion and blogging even more. I have always been a great fan of beauty, fashion and a luxury lifestyle. I met Frederique from fablefrique.com and Brian from Briansadifort.nl. They told me how much fun blogging was and that they recommend to start as well. Kevin was my biggest inspiration. He asked me to start writing as a guest blogger on his blog. Since july 2015 I’ve been doing that and it helped me get through the grieving of the loss of my daughter. It was the only thing, together with my friends and family, which gave me positive energy. Kevin lifted me up, taking me to fashion events or we did some photo shootings together. He always believed in me and he pushed me to start my own blog. When I grieved for one year straight in 2015, I decided that 2016 could be a new year with a start of something new. I’m blogging for about 3 weeks now and it’s going well. I have my first collaboration and I was honored to be asked for this blogger spotlight by you Wendy. Thank you for this opportunity.
3. How would you describe your clothing style?
Most of the time, I like to dress up proper. What I love most is a full make up with a fancy dress and high heels. When I go out for a night, I love to take my time to dress up. It’s part of the night for me. I love to do that together with friends. Put loud music, dress up and laugh together. I also have a more serious style. I love business outfits, blazers, neat pants, blouses and skirts. I am a big fan of high waists. At the days that I’m dressing a bit more comfy, you will see me in streetwear. Usually on Sundays. Some mascara with a little bit of powder and a lipgloss will do at those days. I could say that I have some different sides of style in me. I also love to experience new brands and get to know new styles. I am open minded and I love to try new things. That’s what I love about fashion; style is timeless but fashion is always moving. That’s so me. Oh and.. something funny; I love to use menswear sometimes.
4. How do you keep coming up with material/content for your blog? Many people struggle with coming up with different articles/posts.
Since I just started, I still have so much inspiration. The thing is, my lifestyle is something I like to share, since people ask me a lot about my clothes and make-up. Or to help them with shopping clothes or make-up. So what I basically do, is live the life I would live anyways, but now share it in an article. I’m just being me. Everything that you see on my blog is something I would use, buy or wear in reality. I don’t do collaborations with brands or companies that I would usually not support. I got my first collaboration, after 1,5 week of bloggin. For me, that was a dream that came true. I hope it’s the first step into a lot of co-operations.
The place that I live, Stockholm, is full of amazing brands, shops, hotspots and happenings. The city itself is always inspiring. Scandinavia is one of the great places in Europe where fashion is different and where a lot of new brands start. The big warehouses and malls full of luxury, make-up and clothes help as well. What I do for the rest, is check out international upcoming brands and try to think international also. I have many friends all over the world, they always inspire me. When I was living in Dubai for one year, I got to know many different cultures and the people that I am still in contact with from all over the world, share their inspirations at social media. For me, there’s always too much to see and it’s hard to choose what’s most important today to share. So try to read, invest time to learn new things and say yes to new opportunities. It will help being open minded and finding your true self. That’s what I would share the most; your own style. Whatever that is.
5. What are your favorite brands and shops?
It’s hard because I have a LOT that I love. But my number one answer is CHANEL. I have worked with CHANEL make up, perfume and skincare and I did the training at the head office in Zoetermeer (back then). There I fell in love even more. The story of Chanel is so inspiring. In every single way. We even named our daughter after her.
For the rest, I am a big fan of Louis Vuitton, Hermes and Cartier. These brands are always perfect to use in outfits. I’m not brand obsessed or anything, but I like to invest in one piece like my Chanel bag and use it for a life time. I love the history of those brands, the feeling you get when you walk in the store, the service, the luxury. At the same time, don’t think I’m a snob. Please, I love H&M, Zara and brands like Primark too. You can take me to any store and I would love to check out the collections and have fun together. Style is something else than just a screaming brand. It’s a feeling you get with a certain look. That look can cost 50 or 5000 euro, but it’s can be the same feeling. My favorite shoes are Louboutins, I adore every pair of Loubs in the store. The crazier the better. I can write two pages about a lot of brands and why I love them. When you get to know so many brands and their history, there is so much to explore that it never gets boring to me.
6. What’s now on your wishlist?
– Big round sunglasses, I don’t know which brand yet.
– A watch from Triwa or Prisma. Something elegant.
– A tomford lipstick; I love the texture on my lips.

8. If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest? Tips!
Think about it for a period of weeks or months. It took me three years to start blogging but I wasn’t ready before. There are so many things we can blog about and you first have to know what you want before you can inspire others. At the same time is it a growing process, so if you feel like sharing that process, that’s good as well.
Think about your goals as a blogger, why do you do it and what do you want with your blog. A lot of people have access to information about you. What are you sharing and what not?
I would suggest to invest in a good camera. I personally use the Sony A5100. You have to work hard, it’s not easy to build a website and keep it up-to-date. But it is so much fun to me. That should be your reason to blog; because you enjoy it. Because you like to write and inspire people. Because you like to share your (beauty or fashion) secrets with others. But most important, do it for yourself. Believe in yourself, always. Haters gonna hate. Don’t focus on why people dislike what you do. It doesn’t matter, you can’t please everyone and you certainly don’t have to. Be open to critics, this is the only way to learn more and to become better in what you already do well.
