Blogger Spotlights | A shot of fashion

Hi sweeties! Last weekend I went to Ibiza and I really had the time of my life. Tomorrow I will show you some pictures and why I went to Ibiza. First it’s time for a new blogger spotlight. Last week I interviewed Manon van Deun from the blog A Shot of Fashion. I really like the name! Manon have a big love for fashion and is working hard on her styling career.

Let’s get to know Manon a little bit better! Enjoy the interview!

1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
I’am Manon van Deun the owner of ashotoffashion.com besides my blog I’am also working hard on my styling career.

2. What was the reason why you started your blog?
I want to show my followers that you don’t have to be rich to look good.

3. How would you describe your clothing style?
I describe my style as Bohemian/Tomboy with a little feminine touch

4. How do you keep coming up with material/content for your blog? Many people struggle with coming up with different articles/posts
Looking on other fashionblogs, just for inspiration. And when I have new cloths I love to make a post about it.

5. What are you favorite brands and shops?
My favorite shops at the moment are: Monkie, H&M, Kaufhaus,

6. What’s now on your wish list?
Flared jeans and a brown hat

7. If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest? Tips!
Be yourself & never do it for the money. Make it like it’s your diary

Blogger Spotlights | JoliqueToday

This week I interviewed Jolique Möller from ilovefashionbloggers. Beside being a big boss from ilovefashionbloggers she have also a blog ‘JoliqueToday‘ where she post her looks and ilovefashionbloggers adventures. During her studio in Miami she decided to start a blog with a friend. When she came back in the Netherlands Jolique toke her change and followed her dream. She started with ilovefashionbloggers and won the start-Up Award 2015. Jolique was missing the writing and creativity so she decided to start again with a blog, but this time on her own.

1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Hi, I’m Jolique 23 years old, Dutch and Founder of ilovefashionbloggers.com 🙂 Ever since I was a little girl I knew that I wanted to be a girl boss. Starting my own company is something I always dreamed of. During my study time I got the opportunity to finish my senior year in the USA. I graduated in International Business and was really excited to get my Bachelor degree. When school was over I decided to stay in Miami for a while. It was an amazing experience which I will never forget. During my time there I came up with ilovefashionbloggers, I saw the incredible rise of online media and fashion bloggers. I knew that I had to do something within this field.

2. What was the reason why you started your blog?
During my studies in Miami I decided to start a blog. First to keep my friends and family up to date about all my adventures. Together with my Roomie from Canada we started a blog FancySecrets.com (still really dislike this name). I had so much fun doing this, but at some point I was ready to start my own blog.

3. How would you describe your clothing style?
This is something that I find really hard actually. I’m not super outgoing when it comes to my style. I stick to classics and like to invest in quality pieces. I love to wear blazers….

4. How do you keep coming up with material/content for your blog? Many people struggle with coming up with different articles/posts.
Honestly I’m not a good blogger role-model…. If you look at my blog joliquetoday.com you will see that my latest post is from ages ago…. Oops 🙂 At ilovefashionbloggers.com we post content on a daily base. Our goal is to bring premium and original content to people who are interested in blogging, fashion, lifestyle and travel. Have you seen #ILFBACADEMY? This is my personal favorite type of content on the website. Your guide to start a personal style blog.

5. What are you favorite brands and shops?
My favorite brands are Maje, Marni, SET, Theory and Joseph. My favorite shops are shops in Rotterdam: http://www.kimwerner.nl, http://www.mostertvanleeuwen.nl, http://nenxavier.nl. I rarely shop online….. If I do, I buy sometimes a nice piece at https://www.theoutnet.com/en-NL/.

6. What’s now on your wish list?
I really really really want to invest in a timeless black designer bag because most of my bags are very bright or have a particular color… I want to add a new necklace to my collection from my favorite jewelry designer http://www.vanrycke.com. You’ve never seen something like this before 🙂 I need a pair of new Sunglasses. I always lose them for some reason and now I refused myself to buy expensive ones….

7. If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest? Tips!
I would say, start exploring Instagram first before you invest time and money in an entire blog. It’s not that easy as it might look like 🙂

We trying together to build a platform what will work for bloggers and brands. Around 4 weeks it would be live so we are really excited about it. Blogger Spotlights | Brian Sandifort

Morning babes! How are we feeling today? I’m great because I have two fun days on the planning. Follow me on Snapchat (wendyvansoest) to find out what I’m going to do. I give you a few hints ‘Sperry, Amsterdam & boats’.

it’s tuesday which means a new Blogger Spotlights. This time finally a male blogger, yeahhh! Let me introduce you to Brian from the blog Brian Sandifort. When people encourage Brian on Instagram to start a fashion blog he didn’t doubt for a second. He started with blogging in 2013 and write most of the time about fashion, but also topic of his interest like movies, series and music.

Definitely a blog to keep an eye on it. Enjoy the interview!

1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Hi! My name is Brian Sandifort and I’m 21 years old. I’m studying Communications in The Hague and I have a blog about menswear that goes with my own name – BrianSandifort.nl. Sometimes I like to write articles about other passions of mine too, like movies, series and music.

2. What was the reason why you started your blog?
I really wanted to do something, like starting an online project. I didn’t know the exact thing, but when I posted a picture on Instagram and people started to encourage me to start ‘fashion blogging’ I knew I found the theme for my project. Since then fashion has been growing on me more and more and I’m learning how to blog better every time.

3. How would you describe your clothing style?
The more fashionable version of the average Dutch guy, but not a fashionisto. I like to wear outfits that are smart-casual and one thing I absolutely love is mix-and-match with colors and patterns. My favorite looks contain a striking piece of clothing, combined with something that tones it down. Think of a shirt with a heavy print that I wear with a simple jeans or a solid color blazer.

4. How do you keep coming up with material/content for your blog? Many people struggle with coming up with different articles/posts
The intention of my blog is to inspire and I personally get inspired by lookbooks of fashion brands. Because these lookbooks inspire me, I think they can also inspire my followers. That’s why I like to share them on my blog once in a while. Since my blog name is my own, I can also decide to write articles that are not about fashion. As I said, sometimes I write articles about entertainment stuff as series.

5. What are you favorite brands and shops?
I’m the kind of guy that likes to go into the city and discover the best of all kinds of shops. I mostly shop at Zara, H&M and Mango Man, though.

6. What’s now on your wish list?
A lot, actually! Every month I have this section on my blog that is literally called ‘Wishlist’ where I put items I’d love to add to my wardrobe. Last week though I was in Zara and I loved this grey coat, so that one ranks number one at the moment…

7. If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest? Tips!
Just do it! I just started blogging without any experience with it what so ever. Now I look back on the old posts and I see how I’ve grown with writing and photography. An important thing, however, is to like doing it. When you don’t like doing it, you can’t keep up with it. So, just do it with love and passion!

Blogger Spotlights | Laurence Magaly

Morning! Today already my sixtieth blogger spotlight. I hope their would many more to follow. Today I want to introduce you to Laurence Magaly Talet from the blog Laurence Magaly. A fashion styling student in Amsterdam at Akademie Vogue. Because of her passion about fashion she started In december 2014 her blog about fashion and lifestyle. With her blog she want to show the online world her styles and ideas. Laurence post mainly outfit post, beauty related post and food inspiration and recipes.

1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Hi! My name is Laurence Magaly, I’m 18 years old and I have a Fashion and Lifestyle blog. I love fashion and it’s a big hobby of mine, just as cooking healthy recipes, working-out and shooting outfits for my blog!

2. What was the reason why you started your blog?
I was always making fashion moodboards and looking at other blogs and always thought I would love to do that too! I like to make recipes and style outfits together and wanted to share my style and inspiration with others.

3. How would you describe your clothing style?
When I’m shopping my eye often catches the same type of clothing. Which is a mix between chic and sporty. I also like Bohemain wear but only for the Summer and a good hat! I love hats.

4. How do you keep coming up with material/content for your blog? Many people struggle with coming up with different articles/posts.
I travel often and find my inspiration in places I visit, european street style and sometimes an exotic destination. Also looking at other blogs can give me inspiration.

5. What are you favorite brands and shops?
My favorite shops are Nasty Gal, Urban Outfitters and Forever21. My favorite brand is definitely Michael Kors!

6. What’s now on your wish list?
On my wish list this Summer is the Triangl Crochet bikini and sun kissed skin.. 🙂

7. If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest? Tips!
Do what you love and blog about something you are really passionate about and share your posts/photos on social media and tell your friends and family about it! Also Instagram plays a big role and I would really recommend to put effort in your pictures and look at the theme you want to create.

Blogger Spotlights | The Profashional

Good morning! Last week I didn’t had the time to make a blogger spotlight, but today I have one. Your probably already know her but this time I will introduce you to Tara from the blog ‘The Profashional‘. I follow Tara already for a long time, but last fashion week we meet. Sweet girl with a great sense of style and write great and hilarious post. Only in Dutch so sorry for my international followers.

I asked Tara for my interview and I’m glad she wanted to be in my Bloggers Spotlight. So let’s go to the interview and don’t forget to check out her blog.

1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
My name is Tara and I am 21 years old. I study communications in The Hague and I blog on TheProfashional.com. I love writing, photography, fashion, travelling, pugs, sushi, festivals and so much more. On my blog I talk about everything I love.

2. What was the reason why you started your blog?
Because of my love for writing and fashion. TheProfashional.com started as a fashionblog. This was a perfect way for me to combine these two passions. Now, two years later, my blog developed into the place where I share everything I want to share. Besides fashion I also write about beauty and lifestyle now. I also make vlogs about festivals and events.

3. How would you describe your clothing style?
Feminine but edgy. I like to wear destroyed jeans with a basic shirt and a leater jacket but I also love to wear skirts. My favorite looks have something girly in it but also something edgy. When I don’t know what to wear I go for an all black outfit.
4. How do you keep coming up with material/content for your blog? Many people struggle with coming up with different articles/posts
Since I am not only writing about fashion anymore, but about everything I want to, basically, I do not have that struggle anymore. There is always something happening that I can write about. It also helps to have a couple of categories. I have my ‘instagram diary’ for example. With categories like that you do not have to come up with different ideas all the time.

5. What are you favorite brands and shops?
Online I love asos.com and boohoo.com. Offline I like to shop at Zara, Mango and River Island.

6. What’s now on your wish list?
Currently I am looking for a nice bikini. I am going on vacation soon and I could definitely use one.

7. If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest? Tips!
Just do it and have fun. Don’t just pick a subject because it’s hot right now. Choose a subject that you know you can keep writing about.
