Morning! Did you remember the #InDenimWeTrust campaign of the Sting? I won a picture contest and the price was a weekend away to the beautiful city Antwerp. Of course The Sting did not send us with empty hands and gave us a giftcard worth €200 per person. Awesome price isn’t it? Last week I posted a review about the hotel where we staying and just like I promised here is a city guide of this magnificent city through my perspective.
After an 1,5 hour travel, we arrived in Antwerp. If you already been to Antwerp it’s not a big surprise if I tell you that the central station is beautiful. The architecture of the main building is gorgeous. Instagram worthy! After 10 minutes picture time, we went straight to our hotel which was a 15 minute walk. We dropped-off our suitcases at the hotel and started our search for a nice restaurant for lunch. We stayed at hotel Banks which is situated at the Steenhouwersvest, in the middle of the city centre. It’s a 5 minute walk to the shops and a 5 minute walk to ‘De Grote Markt’ where all the restaurants and cafe’s are situated. Our eyes fell on Cafe De Zon. We had a delicious lunch for an affordable price. After our lunch it was shopping time. Most of our time was spend at The Sting. I will show you guys soon what I bought. In this post you already see a little preview. Around 18:30 we where back at our hotel and went straight to the lounge because there where some free tapas. Because of this we didn’t went out for dinner. A few drinks later and some mega chilling at the hotel we went to explore the cities nightlife. We started at Cafe au lair for some nice cocktails. The bartender gave us some free tickets for club La Rocca. It was a R&B party, but one of the best options because in Antwerp there are a lot of cafe’s with bad music (aka ski hut). I’m more a club kinda girl and not a bar type. We where looking for some nice clubs, but if you not familiar in Antwerp it’s hard to find a good one. Lot of the clubs aren’t in the centre, so you will have to take a taxi.
After some nice dancing at that awesome R&B party and a little stop at McDonalds we went back to our hotel. The next day we had to check out around 12:00 pm. It was possible to leave our suitcase at the hotel and we decided to have a nice stroll through the city. We made some outfit pictures for my blog, ate Belgian waffles, drank some Sangria and enjoyed the sun. Around 18:00 we toke the train back to Utrecht. We had really a nice and relaxing weekend. I can do this every weekend, haha. Thank you Sting for everything.
