Morning babes! I’m in Dubai, whhoooohhh. I can’t wait to explore this city! And of course I want to take you with me! My Instagram and Snapchat ‘wendyvsoest’ will be up-to-date 100%. Follow me HERE to see my adventures through Dubai.
Of course I did a little research and made this travel guide about Dubai. You know me, I don’t want to missed the best spots and sights. When you are planning a trip to Dubai I hope this will help you. Let’s Start!
Burj Khalifa
The world’s tallest building it pierces the sky at 828m (seven times the height of Big Ben). Experiencing the views is a deservedly popular experience and, aside from making a reservation at Atmosphere, there are two ways to do it. The most popular ticket is the one to the At the Top observation deck on the 124th floor (452m) where high-powered telescopes (extra fee) help bring even distant developments into focus (at least on clear days) and cleverly simulate the same view at night and 35 years back in time. Getting to the deck means passing various multimedia exhibits until a double-decker lift whisks you up at 10m per second.
To truly be on the world’s highest observation platform, though, you need to spring for tickets to At the Top Sky on the 148th floor (555m). A visit here is set up like a hosted VIP experience with refreshments, a guided tour and an interactive screen where you ‘fly’ to different city landmarks by hovering your hands over high-tech sensors. Afterwards, you’re escorted to the 125th floor to be showered with interesting tidbits about Dubai and the Burj and to take another virtual tour of major sights in an interactive attraction called A Falcon’s Eye View.
Timed tickets are available at the ticket counter or online up to 30 days in advance. Get your ticket early, especially if want to go up at sunset, or risk having to pay for expensive fast-track admission.
*High Tea Afternoon
High Tea and Afternoon Tea, are a great way to see the beautiful decor of the Burj al Arab hotel. Experience and enjoy the savory and delicious treats that are offered during the High Tea. This 7star hotel is a must-see in Dubai. The interior is gorgeous and definitely Instagram worthy.
Especially the Muntaha restaurant and Sky view bar are worth a visit. Both restaurants are located at 200 meters altitude and float to the back of the hotel, just below the Spire. From the Windows of the Skyview bar Muntaha you will have a beautiful panoramic view of the sea, the coast line and about Dubai itself. The easiest way to visit 1 of these two restaurants is booking a High Tea or an Afternoon Tea in the Burj al Arab.
*Talise Spa
Perched 150 metres above the Arabian Gulf, Talise Spa is the ultimate destination to luxuriate, relax and rejuvenate. Each experience has been carefully crafted and exclusively developed using the world’s most luxurious products to leave you utterly pampered. Unfortunately only for hotel guest!
Dubai Fountains
Next to the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Mall is the spectacular Dubai Fountain. This show is officially the largest and most expensive fountain show in the world and is one of the most popular attractions in Dubai.
The fountain can be up to at the same time up 83000 liters of water spraying and be reached heights of up to 150 m, which is equivalent to a building of 50 floors. The fountain has a length of 275 metres (2 football fields), has a total of 25 colors 6600 lamps and projectors to create a breathtaking spectacle.

Dubai Mall
Is you love shopping than is this the place to be. With over 1200 stores spread over 4 floors is this mall the largest in the world. Also the largest shoe store in the world is found in the Dubai Mall.
The huge shopping centre can be found in Downtown Dubai right next to the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa. Just enough of all stores? In and around Dubai Mall are plenty of restaurants and cafes to find where you can unwind. Especially the restaurants outside are a must, which offer a view of the the largest fountains show in the world, the Dubai Fountain. In addition to the many shops, the Dubai Mall also an ice rink with a capacity of 2000 guests, an indoor theme park, SEGA Republic 7100 m2 and Reel Cinemas, a multiplex cinema with 22 rooms and spacious 2800 seats. It is also the largest aquarium in the world can also be found in the Dubai Mall.

Interactions range from standing in shallow water to swimming or scuba diving alongside these charismatic creatures. Whether you’re a hotel guest or visiting for the day, Dolphin Bay in Dubai offers an unforgettable experience.

Souqs of Dubai
Noisy, chaotic and colourful, Dubai’s souqs are an enticing reminder that you are, indeed, in a foreign country – something you might forget when you’re poolside at your five-star hotel. In contrast to the sleek, shiny, squeaky-clean shopping malls, the cacophony, colour and chaos of the souqs is what makes them so appealing. You have a lot in Dubai which you can find HERE.
Beaches
If you’re looking for long, empty stretches of sand, with only the quiet lapping of waves for company, you’ve definitely come to the wrong place. Dubai’s beaches are buzzing, all-action hotspots during peak season. Many of the beaches along the Jumeirah stretch belong to hotels and are only accessible to their guests or those happy to pay a hefty day fee – definitely something to consider when booking your accommodation. There are also public beaches, some of which are free and others which charge a small entrance fee, but offer decent facilities that are kept relatively clean and patrolled by lifeguards. It’s perfectly acceptable to wear swimwear at the seaside in Dubai but some women report harassment and ogling on the free beaches, particularly on Fridays when they tend to fill up with off-duty single men. The entry fee beaches have a more family-friendly atmosphere, and some have women-and-children-only days.
Dubai Desert Safari
Travel by 4×4 across the deserts of Dubai on this exhilarating 5-hour excursion! Enjoy an adrenaline rush sandboarding down Dubai’s desert dunes, take a camel ride and get a henna tattoo! Complete your experience with a delicious barbecue dinner under the twinkling Arabian stars while watching a traditional tanoura dance performance. It’s a must-do experience when visiting Dubai!

When I’m back I will show you my experience with some excursions/tours and of course I will give you some restaurant, nightlife and other tips.
