For this new line The Body Shop traveled around the world to discover old beauty rituals and use it as inspiration. This line consists of luxurious aromatic oils, refined scrubs and delicious creams to pamper your body.

Last week I received this beautiful line from The Body Shop. In today post I will review some of the products.
Let’s start with my favorite ‘Hawaiian Kukui cream‘ from the blissful rituals. Hawaiian women are their whole life exposed to the Sun, and to restore their skin they use kukuïolie. This moisturizing oil restores the suppleness of the skin for a shining result. The high content of linoleic acid provides hydration and nutrients for the skin. Therefore the Hawaiian Kukui cream is very suitable for dry skin. The smell is amazing! That’s why it’s my favorite.
The Japanese camellia cream contains oil from the beautiful Camelia flower that for generations, is used by women to soften and moisturize the skin. It is a rich oil which good moisturizes and strengthening properties. This rich, velvety body cream makes the skin silky smooth and gives a subtle and floral fragrance. The ingredients are illipe butter, shea butter nourishing, restorative mango pit olie and protective vitamin E.
This invigorating massage oil stimulates the senses and revitalizes the skin. The massage oil is inspired by traditional Thai massages and contains lemon grass. The smell of the massage oil shakes your senses awake and helps improve the vitality.
Charcoal powder is an ancient Asian beauty secret proven to draw out impurities from the skin, up to thousands of times its own mass. It has traditionally been used to draw out tensions from the mind too, de-stressing and calming. It’s a kinda mask for your whole body. The consistency of the product is quite thick and a dark grey color which dries very quickly into the skin. One point of critic is that the dark grey color is hard to remove, also under the shower. But the skins feels firmer and softer and I would highly recommend this product!
The dead sea salt scrub comes from the category Revitalising Ritual, which stimulates and renewed the tired body. Research has shown that salt has a therapeutic effect on the skin, but not every salt is the same. Salt from the dead sea is rich in minerals such as magnesium, calcium, potassium and bromine. It’s a powerful product which remove dead cells and will clean and softening the skin.
The African ximenia scrub contains oil from the ximenia tree that in Africa known as the tree of life because of the softening, nourishing and strengthening properties of the oil. The ingredients in this scrub are glycerin and nourishing shea butter. The smell is soft and floral. After use your skin feel softer and smoother.Beside that you don’t need an apart body lotion, because the smell remains a while.
