Hi there! Hope you are all doing fine! What a weather yesterday in our little country. We had code red, a day to stay at home. Perfect for some cleaning, blogging and watching series. I promise you guys a travel report about Kevin en my short trip to Brussels . Gosh what a beautiful city, it really surprise me.
Around 16:30 we arrived at our hotel ‘Ibis Styles brussels Centre Stephanie’ which is situated in the famous shopping area Stefanieplein and Louizalaan. For my hotel review click HERE. When we drop our stuff in the room it was time to explore the neighborhood. Of course we did some little shopping. Well it was more window shopping because in this area you saw the exclusive shops like Chanel, Dior, Versace etc. Again I saw my dream bag in the Chanel shop and fell in love at a Dior sunglasses. Well some day…. uuhhh a girl can dream right? Between shopping we did also a photoshoot for a blog, which you can see HERE. Than it was already time for some dinner. Nearby our hotel you had a street “Jourdan’ (almost Amsterdam, haha) with a lot of restaurants. Immediately I got that holiday feeling when you walk at the boulevard with a lot of bars, shops and restaurants. We choose for an Italian restaurant which called ‘La Fringale‘. Really delicious food for a good price. Only the staff was not friendly. Than we went back to the hotel for some relaxing and preparing for a night out. We wanted to go to a club like Le You or Fuse but the man from the reception recommended us to go to the city. So we did that. Tip! Instead of a taxi use Uber. Much cheaper. When we arrived in the centre I thought we where ended up in Salou, Calella or Lloret, haha. Everyone was outside and we saw a lot of food places. Eventually we ended up in a (dancing) bar. Sorry I forgot the name. It was fun, but I felt a little bit old there. Well give me some wine and I do not notice it anymore.
After a short night it was time to explore more of Brussels. Because of the central location from the hotel it was possible to do everything by foot. Actually it was straight ahead and you passed by all the tourist attractions of the city. This was our route: Palais De Justice – Palais D’Egmont – Petit Sablon – Grote Zavel – Place Royale – Coudenberg – Mont Des Arts – Grand Place (Grote Markt) – Manneken Pis (gosh he is so little, haha). I never know Brussels had so much to offer. Especially Mont Des Arts was beautiful, what a gorgeous view. At Place Royale I had to do a photoshoot, which you can see HERE. Of course we eat some typical Belgian food like a Belgian waffle and Vlaamse fries. The Grand Place (Grote Markt) is perfect for a drink at one of the many terrace. Than it was time to walk back to our car, but before we went back to Holland we had one more stop to do. The famous Atomium, symbol of Brussels. From the hotel it was a 20 minute drive by car. Which is defently worth it! In the car we saw also a glimp of the ‘church our lady of leaken‘.
Well some 200 pictures later it was time to go home. I really had a great weekend! Had a fun time with Kevin and Brussels is a beautiful city to visited. Thank you Accor hotels for this opportunity and I can’t wait for our next trip to Luxembourg.
I’m curious did you already explore Brussels? Did I missed something over there? Or are you planning to go to brussels? Please let me know in a comment below. Enjoy the pictures!
