1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Hi! I’m Suzanne Brummel, a 21 year old little girl from Epe. hahaha Yes I grew up in this really small village in the countryside named ‘Epe’. I moved to Leiden when I was 18 years old to study at Leiden University. I obtained my Bachelor this year and I’ll be moving to Amsterdam this September to get my Master degree!! Yaaaay Amsterdam! I really love the city and I’m looking forward to be officially an Amsterdam citizen! Besides the fashion love I’m a huge sports fan and I have been swimming at the national level for several years! The hard work, commitment and thousands of practicing hours brought me the National title in the open water swimming last summer too. And yet, I’m still the proud owner of this titles.

2. What was the reason why you started your blog?
I enjoy writing down what I have experienced, what I bought the last time I went shopping or how I feel, writing also helps me through busy/hard periods and it does clear my head. I always kept a personal diary but I thought it’s much cozier to share it with others and maybe even inspire people with my endless enthusiasm to show a lot of different outfits and also work-out tips and lifestyle posts. So I eventually decided to start my blog and write for anyone who likes it. I mean how awesome would it be if I can inspire someone else with my posts?!

3. How would you describe your clothing style
Gradually I found out that I can’t show myself in one specific style. I think you can describe my style as sporty and rough yet chic and feminine. I’m a sporty girl but I can also be really feminine sometimes. I can enjoy to be dressed very casual but sometimes I really love to dress up and take my heels and fancy stuff out

4. How do you keep coming up with material/content for your blog? Many people struggle with coming up with different articles/posts
My inspiration is everywhere, when I walk down the streets, when I watch tv, when I travel by Public Transport or when I’m at the beach. Most of the times I’m just busy with daily stuff when suddenly something comes to my mind. Could be a new idea for an outfit combination or a new sporty post. Then I quickly write it down in my notebook (I always carry with me) so I won’t forget my thoughts. I think writing down all your inspirational thoughts is a useful tip to prevent a writers block.

5. What are you favorite brands and shops?
Zara and H&M are absolute my favorites since I got my first own money to shop from. I still love shopping at Zara and H&M. It’s affordable and they offer you a great versatility. But since I’m a really tiny and thin girl (160cm) and I always have trouble finding items that fits me the way it’s supposed to be. That’s why I also love to shop at Topshop (where they have a special department for tiny people ‘petite’) and Subdued and Brandy melville (Also brands with small sizes that fits me). And last but definitely not least I love to shop at the Pull and Bear store and the everydaycounts store! Such amazing stores. I’m in love with almost all their clothing.

6. What’s now on your wish list?
Really?! Is there space for my never ending wishlist here? No just kidding. At the moment I’m saving for something I really want for quite a long time now. A Kenzo shirt hihi. And I’m still on the search for a long winter coat which is almost an impossible challenge because almost every ‘ xs coat’ is way too long for my length (coat hanging on my ankles or on the floor is not the look I want to create) and besides I’m quite demanding so I keep on searching.

7. If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest? Tips!
If you really want to start your own blog? Just start! There’s nothing to lose!
When you just want something really bad, go for it. Chase your dream and just never let go of your dreams. Believe you can and you’re halfway there. But always stay close to yourself (that’s the most important thing if you ask me!) and never let the opinion or behavior of others destroy your inner peace. Don’t let anyone tear you down. Allow it only to help you move on and to create something better! Go after your dream and be happy!
