Blogger Spotlights | The Girls Behind The Camera

Good morning babes! First of all sorry I didn’t post the last few days around 07:00 am. I have vacation this week, so I’m a little bit out of my routine. It’s Tuesday and you know what that mean,s a new blogger spotlights. This time it’s about two girls again, ’the girls behind the camera‘. I interviewed the beautiful Jamie de Leeuw. Good in front of the camera but also behind one. I followed the girls for a while now and I felt in love with their beautiful pictures. When I was reading the interview I was totally surprise Jamie learned the art of photography by herself. I tough she did some kind of course or had some kind of education. The style of Jamie is bohemian and edgy, love it! I always like the bohemian style. I wear that a lot in the summer.

1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Hi I’m Jamie, 21 years old and I love photography and fashion. I’m currently graduated as a Webdesigner and at the moment I’m searching for a new job. I’ve never studied Photography so you can call me a self-taught photographer. In my freetime I love to party, spend time with my boyfriend, family and friends and go shopping. And I must admit I love wearing hats so my hat and I are inseparable. Oh and I would love to travel around the world and discover breathtaking places. Dreaming is allowed , right?

2. What was the reason why you started your blog?
I started my first (beauty)blog when I was 14 or something but I posted once in a month. So when I was older I started a new blog; a photography blog, because I love to share my passion for it. In the second grade Silvy and I met eachother and we got along really well. At the end of the second grade we decided to start blogging together. Silvy was already on lookbook.nu at that time and had her own blog to share her outfits. I also had my own blog – my photography blog – where I shared my photography activities. We decided to delete our blogs and start blogging together so we could share our passion for fashion and photography on The Girls Behind the Camera.

3. How would you describe your clothing style
Hmm… this is a difficult one. I’ve changed my clothing style like a million times but I think you can describe my clothing style as a mix of Bohemian, gypsy and edgy.

4. How do you keep coming up with material/content for your blog? Many people struggle with coming up with different articles/posts
Online and offline magazines, other blogs, pinterest, tumblr, my passion for photography and webdesign.

5. What are you favorite brands and shops?
Missguided, Asos, Forever21, Free people, Kiboots and Style Moi

6. What’s now on your wishlist
My wish list changes every week (sometimes every day), but at the moment: A big vintage world map, some decoration items for a indoor photoshoot decor – it’s getting cold outside – , boho jewelry, a polaroid camera and some high heels for my Christmas and New Year’s Eve outfit.

7. If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest? Tips!
– Be yourself and don’t worry about what others think of you
– Don’t copycat… be original!
– Blog with passion
