Good morning sweeties! Tuesday and you know what that means, a new blogger spotlight. This time with May from the blog OHMAYGOD. We are colleague because May also works at ilovefashionbloggers. Yesterday we had our first workday together and plenty more to come. May was 13 years old when she was experimenting the World Wide Web. With experimenting I mean Photoshop, websites and discovering other blogs. In 2009 she started her own blog to inspire people with her style. May’s style is casual with an edgy touch.

1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Hi! My name is May from The Netherlands and 22 years young. I am passionate about a lot of things, which makes me indecisive on what I really want to do with my life. But I am still young so I got all the time to figure it all out! In the meantime I am trying to enjoy it with doing things like blogging, singing, meeting up with people, watching series/movies and travel!
2. What was the reason why you started your blog?
I have been online on the internet since I was around 13 (back then it was relatively new!), experimenting with websites, photoshop and photography. So it was a natural choice for me to show pictures of my outfits around 2009 when I was already following some of the first popular fashion bloggers such as Andy Torres and Chiara Ferragni. I received lots of comments (positive and negative) back in highschool about my looks. It all became a part of who I am now and why I started a blog; to show and inspire people with my style. Being yourself and expressing yourself through fashion. Sounds cliché but it is the truth!
3. How would you describe your clothing style?
I would describe my style simple, casual with some edge.
4. How do you keep coming up with material/content for your blog? Many people struggle with coming up with different articles/posts
Honestly, I am still struggling coming up with topics for my blog. There are so, so many blogs out there and I am just one of the fish in the big pond of fashion bloggers. It is hard to be different when somehow we are all a bit the same. So I am still doing what I do best and that is showing my outfits and my interest/inspiration in fashion. The best what you can do is see what interest people to come to your blog and find ways to keep and make it more interesting.
5. What are you favorite brands and shops?
My favorite shops have always been H&M, River Island, Zara and Monki. Since that I am working at WEEKDAY I added that shop to my list. But there are so many stores and brands that interest me!
6. What’s now on your wish list?
Currently I actually don’t have anything that I wish for! Crazy right? Maybe a pair of sneakers or designer bag.
7. If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest? Tips!
First and most important tip what I can give is: WHY do you want to blog?
– Look what other bloggers do and learn from them
– Define your what a successful blog is for you and then go on from there!
