Good morning sunshines! let’s me introduce you to Amanda Stas from the blog Chocolate Heels. Let me first congrats Amanda with her 10k followers on Instagram. You really deserved it! Amanda started with Instagram and had never the intention to start a blog. But many followers ask her of she had a blog to follow, that’s one of the reasons why she started a blog. it’s a blog about fashion and lifestyle. She writes everything that inspires her about that topic. I really like her style! I told you yesterday am lately in to the minimal style and Amanda have that definitely.

Just like with the other bloggers I ask Amanda some question. Enjoy the interview!

1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
My name is Amanda Stas, a 28 year old dreamer, born and raised near Amsterdam. I have a passion for photography and always have been obsessed with fashion. I used to work as a beautician for about 4 years but unfortunately it turned out that it wasn’t really what I was looking for. Nowadays I’m working as a receptionist 4 days a week and trying to find the time for my blog after work and in the weekends.

2. What was the reason why you started your blog?
Before Instagram I already followed a few blogs like Style Scrapbook and The Blonde Salad. They inspired me every day with their outfits and to follow them in their adventures around the world has truly intrigued me, but the idea of creating my own blog has never come up in my mind. Who would be interested in my outfits and thoughts about fashion and lifestyle? But by using Instagram I discovered how big the Blogger World was and started posting outfits. After a short while I got a lot of nice comments and some of them asked me if I had a blog they could follow. For this reason and my passion for fashion, photography and writing I created my blog Chocolate Heels about a year ago. A blog about basically everything that inspires me related to fashion & lifestyle.

3. How would you describe your clothing style
To be honest, I don’t have a particular style. That may sound a bit amateurish for a fashion blogger but I don’t want to section myself into one particular category. Although I like to dress very minimal; I wear a lot of black, white, grey and denim, I also have a chic and feminine side. It depends on how I feel and where I’m going.

4. How do you keep coming up with material/content for your blog? Many people struggle with coming up with different articles/posts
Because I’m not only posting outfits, it sure is very hard to come up with new ideas every time. But through my fulltime job it is impossible for me to post every single day which gives me a little more time to think about new blog material. I get inspired by reading a lot of blogs, on Pinterest, reading the magazines and on the streets. I work in Amsterdam and see a lot of people walking by every day.

5. What are you favorite brands and shops?
I’m a true Céline lover. I purchased my first Céline (the trio bag) last February and it still is the best buy I did so far! I also love Acne Studios, Alexander Wang and One Teaspoon has the best denim if you ask me.

6. What’s now on your wishlist
My wishlist is endless and keeps growing by the day but on top of my wishlist is the Chanel classic flap bag 2.55. One day it will be mine!

7. If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest?
You have to realize that blogging is a lifestyle. Something you deal with day and night, actually always. I wake up with it and I go to bed with it but it gives me so much energy and I’m very thankful for everything I’ve reached through my blog. I think it’s important to stay true to yourself and always follow your dreams. You have to work hard but if it truly is what makes you happy; go for it! There is nothing better than doing something you truly love!
